Death Poll Deadline

The Existence is Wonderful Death Poll will be halted as of May 8, 2007 (probably around 7 PM Pacific US time, depending on when I get home from work). Thank you very much to all who voted for your time and consideration -- it has been fascinating to look at your responses so far, and I am having quite an interesting time analyzing them.

There are some definite "trends" in the data, but a few surprises as well, all of which will be explored in the long post to hopefully follow within the next week or so. The polling utility I used provides basic statistics online (which you can see if you click the "View Stats" button under the poll) pertaining to the number of votes counted for each option. However, I have also been receiving a notification via e-mail as to how each individual respondent voted and incorporating a random sampling of that data into a spreadsheet, where it is being examined and color-coded and generally crunched.

So, if you or your friends haven't voted yet, you have one more day in which to do so. Thanks again!
